Pomatomus Finale
Finally, my feet are both clothed in Pomatomus socks:
The color in that picture is all wrong; they really are the same color -- and it's mostly PINK not reddish. But then the color is wrong in all of the P pictures for some reason. I'll try to get better ones today in daylight. Either way, the toes work.
Of course it feels like I've knit two pair of these. Well, maybe only three socks. Sock one went swimmingly, so I'm not sure why I had such trouble with sock two...
As you may recall, last Wednesday, the lovely P was frogged back yet again. After some minor frogging, it looked like this:
and a close up of that edge -- I saw it several times that way before I frogged it back another two inches.
Nonetheless we made it through after one more serious round of frogging, and I was able to get most of the way to the toes w/o frogging again. At last they are finished (barely) in time for Cirque du Socks !
Of course, spending Saturday morning with this view didn't help much...
Yep, I was out there in the rain watching my girls play soccer. It was just cold and damp enough to deter knitting..... but we huddled in our fleece blankets, cowering under umbrellas with the best of them. I still don't understand how the girls can play in that stuff. Yuck.
But play they did, and VERY well too. (insert string of proud momma lines here).
