Yarn Geeks R Us
Stitches is as overwhelming as always.
Doubletree is underwhelming. I'm usually a DoubleTree fan, but this time there are a few glitches. We did not, for example, get our cookies.
And there are no Internets in our room. They say there is connectivity through a cable they provide, but even if it worked (which apparently it does not, for their help line phone queue is too long to wait for), it's expensive!
There are, however, Internets in the lobby. For free. All wireless and everything. This means that Ravelry addicts who need to put in their new yarn purchases right away are forced to do it in the lobby.
This may not sound all that alarming, but wait until that yarn comes out of the bags and starts getting reviewed...
Eventually, it starts to look a bit out of control (especially when I consider that this represents only one skein of each of the yarns)...
Two laptops, two piles of yarn, two knitters gleefully playing on Ravelry.
But now, we're going back up to wind our yarn -- cause you KNOW there's a swift and ball winder in the room! (okay, it's 'cause Alyse bought one today, but still....

That would be something for hotels near fiber festivals to consider -- supplying swifts and ballwinders! It looks like you had a good time!
