Monday morning, I pried myself away from Grafton, and headed into WEBS armed with a list. Well... armed with three lists, and some hankerings of my own.
I shopped for the Divine Though Blogless Elizabeth, and fetched up some Trekking Hand Art, and some Fiesta Baby Boom. The Baby Boom is a bit of a challenge, for they had only two left in her preferred colorway -- but they weren't the same dye lot. Since I could tell, I took a risk and bought another colorway. If it turns out she hates it, it'll be my yarn (or a prize, or I'll sell it .. or). Instead of Cosmopolitan, I came home with Rain Forest (which doesn't look like the picture they have on their site). Alas, the yarn is in the magic Thule, and can't be photographed until we get home.
And I shopped for the Fairy Godknitter (Joan). She was fun. I picked up some Sheep Shop Sheep three in Chocolate -- and it's great chocolate too.
Then I rounded up some Noro Silk Garden in one of the new colors. I love this stuff. From one angle, it looks like this
From the next, it looks like this
I'm rather wishing I'd gotten some for myself. Choosing the colors would have taken me all day though. I was overwhelmed by yarn fumes.... So I snagged some Plymouth Yarn Baby Alpaca Brush for Joan.
While I was shopping, J was learning all about her dragon kit, and C was spinning.
I did get some yarn for myself too... you'll see it after the Thule gets home.
From there ... we drove through more bizarre weather -- clear skies ... sky falling in until the rain was so heavy I felt like I was really pushing things to be doing 30 on the highway ... back to rain free within minutes. Weird.
We made it into Grand Island at about 8:15 pm ... tired, and thrilled to be here.
