I've been engaging in some stealth knitting. It's a lot of why you've not heard from me more often lately. If it's gonna be stealth knitting, I can't very well show it off here, now can I.
I've also been working on the endgame for Seasons of Lace; yesterday, I posted the prize winners for the Quantity Competitions. I've been working on the raffle plans for other prizes, and coordinating with my co-moderator about the Judged competitions. The real stuff on that front is on that blog.
But I can post about this:
I hate things like this. This is a sort of almost knot in my yarn. It's where one ply broke, but the other didn't?? it means that I have to have an end woven into a shawl that should have been workable without one. (Well, except for the cast on and bind off ends).
Even though it's stealth knitting, I can't resist sharing just this much.
Meanwhile, I'm about to leap on a plane to the capitol of our nation. I'm not going to do anything very grand.... I'm going to visit a dear friend. For the past couple of years, she's come over to watch TV on DVD with me once a week (we've enjoyed Babylon 5, Firefly, and were well on our way through Star Trek the Next Generation -- two episodes a week). But now she's off working on a one year Fellowship with the SEC (she's an accountancy professor), and we've not had a nice relaxing evening together since June. She invited me to come visit, and I just couldn't resist.
You can anticipate a bunch of touristy photos by Tuesday. I can't promise anything between now and then, though, as I'm not entirely sure whether I'll have access.
Until then, I leave you with Tuesday's sky
