So... I've voted. Have you voted? If not, and you live in the U.S.A. ... PUT DOWN THAT MOUSE --- dash out the door, and go do your civic duty!! Every vote really does count!
If so... celebrate with me, in all my Blueness (clickity if you don't recognize him)
Wait no... that's not what I meant....
Let's try that again....
Look ma! It's a sweater! It's a sweater that in that angle, isn't the most flattering thing I've ever worn.... but you'll note that it is no longer on the needles.
And frankly, it fits.... juuuuuust right! It skims without clinging. It sits lightly on my skin and is very comfortable.
And it's sleeves are as long as I meant them to be (too long for some, but delightful for me).
Wahoooo... (and yes, I like that picture better too).
AND ... it was one of my Mission Possible 2008 projects! (you remember that right?)
Spongy -- named after the yarn (Grignasco Spongy).
I used 3.75mm circulars, and knit it mostly in stockinette. I mean, look at theonly barely token difference when you switch between stockinette and garter --
I made the sweater up as I went along... and even though I know I took notes, I deftly lost them all. I even had to do the second sleeve by counting the rows and stitches in teh first sleeve because the notes managed to get lost between here and St. Thomas.
Between this soft and comfy and yummy sweater, and having won (!!!!!!) a prize in Seasons of Lace and being almost done with the work on the Summer Season, (which has been a lot of awarding and shipping prizes lately)....
I'm Happy Dancing here in Shadowland.
....
..
.
I wonder.... Is there more than one of these?
And if so....when these Blue Meanies aren't pounding things... could they knit?

The sweater is stunning on you.
And yes, I voted (absentee a few weeks ago).

It looks great! I like my sleeves on the long side, too. (And I voted by mail quite some time ago -- by mail, so I hope the post office didn't screw up!)
