We interrupt this presentation of knitting goals to bring you breaking news on the knitting finishing front.
First, there's the Weekender Stole, last seen stretched out on the alphabet blocks. Here it is now draped across our love seat
We seem to be having photography issues around here though. So far, these are the best we could get for the finished shawl actually in use
(and no, I can't explain that thing on my head... my hair has a mind of it's own. Evidently, it wanted to be allowed to cover up the shawl....)
Personally, I like this one...
In addition to the luscious Panda Silk stole (the final FO of 2008), I bring you the first FO of the year.
Yes -- it's a lace hoodie, with no sleeves. I have enough yarn (King Tut cotton) though, that if she changes her mind later, I can add them.
J thinks I'm a bit fussy about the picture thing. She did tolerate a couple of front views...
Barely....
She'd clearly had enough.
But... she says it's just what she meant... and now won't take it off. Score another one for mom.
Unless she gets a major growth spurt, it should even last until the weather is more suitable for it!
Oh -- and this one means that my first Mission Possible 2009 mission -- finished! I hope this doesn't mean I have to swiftly add something to the list...

Wow! I again say - "Oh SuperKnitter, she who knits at the speed of light, faster that a speeding addi, quicker than a greased Crystal Palace, no match for the normal mortal." Awesome FOs! The hoodie is really cute and the DD seems really happy with it. The shawl can come to my house and keep me warm. Nice show. Now, I must get busy because you shame me...

Okay, the sleeveless hoodie doesn't look as funny as I thought it would -- but she does look chilly! ;-)

*Love* the lace hoodie -- thanks for posting the pics. Kid has good taste and Mom is an awesome knitter.

It's all so beautiful! You both look great in your FO's. Now, I need to find that weekender stole pattern. Off to Ravelry I go!
