This post started somewhere else. You'll see where if you stick it out to the end. But frankly, I'm not impressed with the readability (or enjoyability) of the results of this meme, and thus would rather give you something more interesting to read first.
And so it is, that I tried to wrestle Willow into posing for some pictures. These are likely to be the last before I begin the bind off row... very soon. (We will not discuss that I fear the bind off row will take so long that I'll be forced to photograph it in process more than once).
She sulked her way onto the couch.
Luckily, I was saved by the postal carrier, and thus have something MUCH more fun to share.
First....
60" cables! My moebius can resume progress. (Mission Possible 2009, back in gear).
But... much much more fun....
Toys from The Knitting Goddess! In particular (and in addition to these buttons that I just couldn't resist), yarn for Laminaria!!! Probably this delicious, though slightly greener in real life, 100% Cashmere Laceweight.
But maybe this Wensleydale instead.
So... here's what I thought I was going to blog about today..
2008 in Review -- through the eyes of my blog.
Often, as I read my favorite blogs, one of the writers puts up something that I want to join in on. Today... that thing showed up over at Throws Like A Girl. She swiped it from one of the blogs she reads... On HER blog, it was kind of interesting...
Anyway, the drill is that one is supposed to present the first sentence of the first post of each month of the previous year.
January: New day... new year... new project. oops.
February: What is it with me anyway?
March: I find it highly disturbing that I got 80% on a font quiz.
April: Today, the Harlot launches her new book in Toronto.
May: In the news today, we see that some people's version of reality is vastly different from the rest of us.
June: I wrote this post almost a week ago....I was SURE I'd posted it.
July: Today we went to visit the promising hole in the ground.
August: I'm HOME... I'm half way through a post about our visit to Buffalo.
September: I've been making tracks on Kitty's Cables....
October: I've been engaging in some stealth knitting.
November: I hope you had a lovely Halloween (Samhain for those who celebrate it), and a blessed All Souls Day.
December: Despite all outward appearances, Shadowland has not folded.
While I did enjoy looking back at all the posts... I think it would have been much more interesting to list their titles, and not their first sentences. Their first sentences suck.
Perhaps I will learn from this adventure. Perhaps not.

At least you had something to put with each month. If I were to do this meme, I would have nothing to say for most of the year. Is there something to learn from that? I think not.

I agree with Bev. I may not even have one post/month to go look at. *shrug*
Now on the other hand... I'm trying to figure out a way to swipe the Wensleydale. That's a pretty yarn, yes it is...
