I'm desperately trying to get the last things done before we head out of here for a short Spring Break Trip.
I have no knitting pictures to show you; I spent the last two days' knitting time beating a chart into submission so that my pattern testers can complete the test on a mitt pattern.
When I wasn't having that war, I was writing up a sock pattern. It's close to testing time for that one too.
My non-knitting time has been spent trying to help the house recover from the Painters, who are gone at last. So far, only one room is close to being done
This is Kitty's room. That lovely pale blue wall used to be an okay but not wonderful shade of green. Like all of us, she has a cool "contrast" wall
I love the triangle up there. She's got plans for stars on it...
Meanwhile, my bedroom is a pale orchid color (really, that's what the paint can says)
I know... it looks mostly like white, but it's not. And MY contrast wall is ... aubergine (okay the paint company thinks its related to pansies or violets or something. whatever)
(Oh and that mysterious device above the closet door is a chin up bar that the Golf Pro likes).
Bookworm's room has not been ... available for photography until late last night, and even then, only half of it. But we're making progress.
Next week, I plan to recover the upstairs hallway! (It's full of junk ... again.) But today -- we leap in the car and drive to Atlanta to visit my wonderful cousin Gail! (She's the lucky recipient of the Gail's Garden shawl).
See ya in the Southland!

Yay for progress! Have a safe and wonderful trip.

Well, I've seen your room. And in person, and with the right light, it does look very lightly purple. I'll attest to that.
Btw, I'll offer to test knit sock patterns for you. And as long as you promise to not go distracting me with starting new lace projects, I promise to finish.

Aubergines are eggplants, it works, I think.

I love that pale purple wall - to me it's almost greying lavender, which is a color I love.
Have a great trip - I'm in San Antonio myself this week!
