So, I like to think that I'm a fairly competent knitter. I have friends who come to me with their knitting problems, and I fix them (or figure out what's wrong and show my friends how to fix them). I have even managed to design a pattern or two (well, more, but who's counting).
But Irtfa'a's edging charts are smacking me down. It took me far too long to master the chart for the first side, but I did. And now... it's taken days for me to get two whole repeats done on the other side.
Wow. Two whole repeats....
Sit in awe. And you know what...I'm gonna attempt a third repeat.
Maybe it's the excitement of teaching Kitty to drive. Today we tackled 5:00 traffic.

Are you taking advantage of the time in the car to knit while Kitty is driving? What? Did you just mutter something about it being hard to knit while hanging on to the handles? ;P
It'fa'a is going to be amazingly gorgeous, and will probably be worth all of the issues you've had with it.

An adult supervising her newly permitted driving student should be
watching the ROAD!
In time, however, Ill start knitting, Im sure. By the time shes
ready for her license, Ill be napping up there!

I think you probably need some nice, soothing sock knitting right now!

The loveliest thing about one's child getting older is that you don't have to teach them how to drive twice. No frogging their experience: with each mile the job becomes more done, for good. Hang in there!
