Yesterday was pretty much about lolling about.
We went out to breakfast at my parents' favorite spot. It was the first time we came face to face with the vehicular challenge -- six people, one Prius. Here's our solution:
Gotta love my dad! When he buys summer motorcycle jackets -- he buys 'em so you can SEE them!
After breakfast, we cruised once around the Bowdoin campus (which is lovely, and which I'd love to really wander on some day), and then came home, where we had a relaxing day about the house, playing scrabble (with teams -- Golf Pro, Kitty, and my mother teamed up against me and Bookworm.)
and reading and taking walks on the trails in the preserve.
Even some knitting. I'm almost done with the back of the Lovlund sweater
Close up -- looks like this
And, because it's "supposed to be" worn purl side out ....
I've not woven in the ends, just in case I want to actually wear it the way the designer meant it to be worn.
And then the girls and I went to Spamalot.
Lots of laughter. No, seriously. LOTS of laughter.
And now, I have to go get a season of the Flying Nun to show the girls just why I was laughing so hard when that black robed-white capped actor came on stage.
I've got little more, so I'll share this:

So, who won Scrabble?
I like the sweater stockinette side out. But I'm biased, I don't like purls. Either way, it'll be gorgeous.

Your vacation looks great - I really want to go to Maine some time. And I agree that the sweater looks better knit-side out. The other way, I think it just looks wrong-side out! Also - I've seen that video before, and although it's sooo cute, I always wonder how much longer the turtle would be able to carry the kitten!
