There are lots of places where customer service is failing. The Dimensions company is not one of them.
In the year 2000, I purchased a kit to make a needlepoint Holiday stocking. I've been working on it....ever so slowly...
and then ... just as the end drew nigh... I lost page two of the instructions. You know, the part where they provide the alphabet so that you can needlepoint the name..... and where tell you how to assemble the thing once you've finished it off.
So, just because I am a hopeful person, I looked up the company on the internets, and contacted them. Yes, I filled in their little form, providing them with my name address and such, and then brazenly asked for a set of instructions that is more than ten years old. I also remarked that if they had another strand of a particular color of yarn that would be marvelous.
And lo.... a few days later -- a copy of the instructions arrived in the mail!
And then lo... again ... a strand of the thread arrived in another envelope.
It's so nice to have real customer service.
And it will be even nicer to finish off the stocking at last. THIS year -- this year I'll get it done.

Wow! That's great - especially the yarn part! And now you're absolutely obligated to finish it!

How wonderful that a company still takes such excellent care of their customers. Good for you for giving them some recognition.

Nice post! Customer service isn't about being perfect. Customer service is about making things right, not just the immediate problem, but the root cause. And it is totally about listening to the customer. Anyway, I enjoyed reading this post. Thanks for sharing.
