A while ago, I entered a contest in celebration of Gloria's (of the Chronicles of a Lazy Knitter) blogiversary. Much to my surprise, I won! And while I was off this weekend helping my Seasons of Lace co-moderator win the battle of organizing her yarn and fiber stash (okay, and rounding up all of her Lace UFO's), a package arrived at my house.
Lovely lovely things. A mug with the Elizabeth Zimmerman quote that I find useful all the time, several adorable stitch markers (I'm worried about these - I fear that Kitty will swipe them), some delightful note-cards (more E.Z. quotes!) and some cute socks to protect the points on sock needles. What a delightful treat to come home to!
I'm a little nervous about my knitting - I know that the miracle of blocking will cure the funny way it looks -- but until I see it happen, I'll worry that I've done something awful to this shawl.
Ah well, until blocking happens, and with many many thanks to the generous Miss Gloriea ... I shall endeavor to...
