This evening, I drove up to my bank's Drive UP ATM machine. You know the kind -- a little lane leading up to the box. They expect you to be in a car...
I looked at the keypad and noticed ---
BRAILLE!
really? in the drive up lane?
Why does it make me nervous to think that people driving their cars might need braille access to the atm?

I've noticed that very thing before...and felt the same twinge of fear pierce my own heart. OTOH, having been the person walking through the drive up ATM at a bank, near the farmer's market, I'm thinking maybe it's in an area where foot traffic is common.
BTW, I used the drive up ATM because the walk up ATMs were in the lobby of the bank--which was locked on Saturday mornings.

Even weirder, as was pointed out to me by a visually impaired friend, there was no Braille on the inside ATM at her bank.
