So..
The contacts are working, but not working.
I wore them Sunday, and took them to the movies. That worked. And they didn't itch like crazy!
But, I wore them Monday, and wore them to class. That didn't work so well. The itchies didn't happen, but they weren't totally comfortable. But... the part in class where we read a bunch of stuff, and then wrote a bunch of stuff. That didn't work so well.
When reading is hard, there's a problem.
This means either that I just have to get more accustomed to the mono-vision OR that I won't be able to use them for things that involve reading much. If it's the second, that might be okay. But if it's the first, it might mean that I have to choose between glasses and contacts. I can't imagine that it will work well to have monovision days and regular vision days. My eyes can adapt to one or the other, but I would be surprised if they can adapt to switching back and forth.
...
Meanwhile ... today marked the end of my Assessment Class. It was good. I enjoyed it. But it was a little more intense than I'd like to carry on with for too long -- SO MUCH information to absorb! Today also marked the beginning of a sort of survey of Chinese Medicine. That's delightful! I got to be the demo client for a type of massage I've never had before: Pacific and Asian Restoration Therapy. It's actually part of Jiujitsu -- the healing side.
As it turns out every martial art has a healing side. I can tell you that Jiujitsu's healing side is awesome. Many things are in alignment that were not in alignment this morning. I'm trying to drink lots of water to help the process. The only downside to this is that I am now very interested, and would like to learn more -- but to get certified in this stuff means attending 650 hours program! (By comparison, our whole program is just over 750). I think I may just hold off on starting that process until I've at least been licensed otherwise for a while.
so much to learn!
