I made it through the day yesterday with no mishaps.
Today, was not so good. I woke with a bit of a headache, looked with some wistfulness at the coffee pot, and had Cheerios and a hardboiled egg for breakfast. Voila, another meal down with no suger. Some day, perhaps, I'll learn to like coffee without sugar, but right now, I'm just avoiding it. After all that delicious New Orleans coffee this past weekend, I'd rather fo without than put icky tastes in my mouth.
The morning was good, other than the headache, but it started to flare l about noon. The headache got worse, until I gave up and went to bed.
Hours later, I'm up, and have had a cup of tea, I've considered that perhaps this no caffeine gig might not be a good idea. Sure, sugar is just as addictive as caffeine, but the withdrawal symptoms dont' include evil hideous headaches.
I've turned to Water Joe for help -- caffeine, but no sugar. I'm going to use it to wean myself from caffeine. Do NOT need the headaches.
So... though it was not the best day, it was still a successful one. No sugar past my lips that wasnt in a piece of fresh fruit.
