Back in February, our furnace had a little tantrum, and flooded the furnace room and crawl space and soaked the carpet in the living room, and the wall in the furnace room ... etc.
The wall in the furnace room looked like this:
So we had that all repaired, and everything is lovely. It was clean and white and lovely.
And then the heating season went on its merry way, and the cooling season began.
And our airconditioner (part of that same HVAC unti) had a little tantrum. And the condensation drip tray overflowed, and water dripped down through the furnace, onto the floor (soaking it again, which in turn soaked the wall, and dripped down into the crawl space.
And my wall, once again developed a bit of a mold problem
Now my laundry room is cluttered with extra equpment:
The dryer/dehumidifier thing, to get the water out of the space between the wall (there's a hole in the wall now), and the floor under the vinyl
The magic air filter that is keeping all the mold spores from escaping into the house
The corner of the garage is occupied by the HUGE dryer/de-humidifier that is getting all the water out of the crawl space -- note that it's all behind that magic plastic wall.
The machines are now on their third day of fighting the humidity.
I love that my contractors are speedy, efficient, kind, courteous, friendly etc.
I hate that these machines are so danged LOUD.
Tomorrow, they say, they'll be going away, and other work will begin.
