So, I was knitting.
I was knitting a tank top to match the one that The Divine Though Blogless Elizabeth had made, and which I'd thought was lovely.
I was knitting out of sale yarn that, as it turns out, is not lovely in the simple pattern we'd chosen. How is this? I don't quite understand it myself -- but 6" in, I just didn't like it.
I was frogging.
I am now knitting again. Same yarn, different pattern. Why does this one seem nicer? Who knows. But it's still black yarn, and thus not very showy for the design. I promise to model it over something white so you can see it when it's done... We will not discuss that I'm working on a nice summer tank top as the temperatures are finally turning downward.
Alas, I still do like that top that Elizabeth had knit.
And I'm liking the one she's now knitting even more.
I refuse to yield to temptation. My stash does not contain the right amount of bamboo yarn in that gauge, and I will NOT buy more yarn just to make my wardrobe match hers all over the place.
You can hold me to that.
