Last week was AMTA's Massage Awareness Week.
So, being a dutiful little massage therapist, I celebrated by offering a sale (with a raffle for potential FREE massage). When I started that sale, and advertised it gently (via my Facebook page, an email newsletter, and signs up at my job), I didn't think I'd really wind up with a lot of extra work from it. After all, that's a pretty closed loop. I wasn't doing much advertising to anyone who had not already been a client. The only place I went outside my own client base was at the Love Your Body event.
I was delightfully surprised. Last week I performed more bodywork and massage sessions than I usually do in two weeks! And I did work on three new clients! Sales are wonderful things.
The best part for me -- I don't hurt!
In addition to all of this lovely body work -- I had meetings to go to, theater to enjoy, and BookWorm's final color guard performance on the field to attend. My calendar was just plain crazy.
What I didn't do much of was knit or write (or, as you noticed, blog)
I did, however, store up ideas for blog posts. So, since this week has fewer meetings to consume my non-working time, I'm hoping to catch up!
