It's here, it's here...

The cool custom yarn I ordered for my Secret Pal (okay, she knows it's coming b/c I had her choose from several that my magic yarn dyer made to my specs). (If she'd not come back with a choice, I would have been ordering something amazing from Scout.  I hope Scout forgives me).

Anyway ....lookee...

Halloween Yarn!

It's actually brighter than this, but my camera is resisting more efforts to take pictures at all than it is cooperating with them, so this is what we get:

And it stripes! 

(okay, that's what my custom yarn makers says it looks like -- she tested it, I didn't ). Is that cool or what?

Ya see, my pal confessed that Halloween is her favorite holiday.  And there was this black and orange yarn at Stitches, but it wasn't quite right ... and one thing led to another... and then I was ordering Halloween Yarn from Gysy Girl Creations. (I'll just pause here to add that it was a delight to work with this person)

And see that calculator there (which is really very purple), it's really a box.  And ya know what fits it in JUST right?  dps.  As in sock knitting needles.  What could I do.

I won't reveal the rest of her final package ... that would spoil the surprise.  But the yarn is totally the best part.  I'm so glad she had this trip to Australia that means she wouldn't be in town to GET her final package on the official ending date of the swap.  And... as it turns out, she just got home too... so I can ship at once! (which is totally a good thing, 'cause I'm getting tempted by this yarn! -- Karrie, if you don't love it.... send it back, I'll send something else).

My pal (the one who is still secret) said she was also sending something at the end.  It's not here yet, so I'm assuming she's in the same boat -- waiting for that thing to arrive her HER mailbox so she can ship it on...  I can't wait to learn who she IS!
